Earth, 2019.
A team of US scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean Government quickly seals off the area. The Guns of the Patriots are locked and loaded. Konami today officially confirmed the widely rumored June 12 North American release date for Metal Gear Solid 4, the series' belated debut on the PlayStation 3. Earlier this week, Sony announced that the game would arrive late in the second quarter, and would be available as part of a PS3 hardware bundle with the system and the new Dual Shock 3 rumble-equipped controller.
